Frequently Asked Questions – Rochester B/BC/BV Rebuild Kit K1141
1. Which carburetors does this kit fit?
The K1141 is designed for Rochester B, BC, and BV 1-barrel carburetors equipped with round-shaft (round-stem) accelerator pumps—common on 1957–67 Chevrolet cars and trucks, 1964–67 Buick and Oldsmobile, 1966 Jeep/Willys, and various marine engines. It does not fit carburetors with flat-shaft pumps (those require kit K1144)
2. What’s included in the K1141 kit?
This comprehensive kit includes:
-
Viton-tip needle & seat
-
Garter-spring accelerator pump cup
-
Mounting and float bowl gaskets
-
Throttle body and air-cleaner gaskets
-
Aluminum pump-well check ball and steel main-discharge check ball
-
Fuel inlet gasket
-
Optional float bowl gasket for select carb numbers
-
Free electronic instruction manual
All parts are Made in the USA and built to OEM specs
3. How do I know if I need K1141 or another kit like K1144?
Check your carburetor’s accelerator pump shaft style:
4. Does this kit include the entire accelerator pump?
Only the pump cup and garter spring are included. If your carb has a leather cup or needs a full pump rebuild, you’ll need to order the complete pump separately. See product notes for details
5. Are these parts ethanol-resistant?
Yes—this kit includes Viton-tipped needle & seat and upgraded materials, making it compatible with modern ethanol blends (E10/E15) and more durable than outdated rubber parts
6. Which float bowl gasket is included?
The kit includes a standard gasket, but some carb numbers (e.g., 7013596, 7025638, 7025662, 7028149) require a different gasket. You can add the correct one via the optional add-on on the product page
7. Any special rebuild tips included?
Yes:
-
Polish the pump well to help the cup glide smoothly
-
Use two drops of oil on the pump cup—don't soak it
-
Blow air, or spray carb cleaner through all passages to remove ethanol residue and prevent blockages
8. Does the kit come with instructions?
Yes—a free electronic rebuild manual is included to guide you step-by-step through disassembly, cleaning, and assembly. See above for link to download instructions.
9. Is the K1141 kit in stock and ready to ship?
Availability is updated in real time under the product price. In-stock orders placed before 12 PM PST (Mon–Fri) ship the same day.
10. How is shipping charged?
Shipping costs are based on your location and chosen method. No extra handling fees. Visit our [Shipping Information page] for full details.
11. How does this kit compare to others?
The K1141 stands out with its Made-in-USA quality, ethanol-ready components, and thorough design that meets or exceeds OEM specs. More reliable than generic rebuild kits.
