Rochester B, BC, BV Accelerator Pump - AP462

Rochester made a few upgrades on their 57-62 single barrel carb. Without tracing the casting numbers the only way to tell which accelerator pump you have is to open up the carb. Part AP462 is exactly the right part, if you have the round shaft. Good quality part that will last for a long time. Just follow Mike's instructions!

The accelerator pump worked good, the newer style rubber cup is a vast improvement over the old leather cup. Listing on the different overall lengths was spot on. I will definitely order from Mike's again should I need a part or kit for a vintage carburetor.i received my part in a reasonable amount of time,and would highly recommend this company.

With the number of swapped out carburetors, with no tags, on older vehicles, it's nice to be able to have a supplier that has the individual pieces to "Build-a-Kit" so to speak. Thanks Mike for being a creative thinker in this field. I try to purchase extra or additional pieces whenever dealing with Mike. He had the correct "B" series odd ball accel pump on the shelf, so I got 2. Worth every penny.

I was restoring a carburetor for a friend of mine and he had ordered a kit from Mike's. Turns out I was missing a few parts that were not included in the kit (and were not expected to be included). I called Mike's and one of the young ladies provided expert assistance. Quickly identified the 12-28 screws I needed, the missing roll pins, and the unique accelerator pump. She was extremely knowledgeable, gave me some guidance on how to remove the stuck power piston while on the phone, and everything was received a few day later. Reasonably priced I might add. Great company.

I bought this bc carb from one of the classic truck suppliers. It was a reman unit. the one on the truck to begin with was a reman unit also. Both carbs had a dead spot at the very beginning of it's stroke. After much experimentation, it was decided to buy a new accelerator pump and try that. The pump cured 99 percent of the stumble on takeoff. Am happy with the results.
