Crocus sanding cloth 2" wide, sold per foot.

Many uses but primarily recommended by use for polishing the accelerator pump bore to prevent wear spots on your accelerator pump cup.

Apply a couple drops of oil and turn the crocus cloth in your pump bore until you can't see or feel any rough or wear spots.

I never polished the accelerator pump bore before, but the crocus cloth made it super smooth for optimal performance.

Head honcho

A good idea but hard to polish pump bore as fingers are a little big, but I managed. I also rubbed graphite on bore. Previously the pump inhibited throttle return to 0 throttle, the pump now works well in part due to polishing bore. I’d say that polishing pump bore is a requirement in rebuilding Holly model 1940 carb...
