READ BEFORE ORDERING: All Holley 4000 Teapot carburetors were manufactured with accelerator pumps that use replaceable rubber cups. For a while Standard Motor Company was selling replacement accelerator pumps with leather cups. If your carburetor has a leather cup pump, the replacement cup in our rebuild kit will not work. You need to find a rubber cup pump for your carburetor before rebuilding.

TECHNICAL:

Instruction Sheet - electronic
Apply 2 dabs of lithium grease to the pump cup.
Parts illustrated in the picture are included in this kit.
Secondary diaphragm is NOT included.
Your carburetor may have a seat that pushes in rather than threading, this seat will work in its place. This replacement seat is longer and won't sit as deep into the orifice, that's normal. Leave the spring out and reinstall with the threaded cap, you're good to go.

Thanks for videos and all of the information on the Holley 4000. I have never worked on one before. Your web site took all of the guess work out And made the rebuilding of the Carburetor a lot easier. Thanks for the information and the download of the manual. An easy 5 stars.

Holley 4000 Kit

Great product, had everything to renew the carburetor! Everything fit well and was easy to find all needed o-rings and small parts for replacement. Everything seems to fit well and appropriate. Material quality is very good. May be a good idea to create a parts listing with numbers relating to all photos and sketches - both disassembly and assembly.

The kit quality is great but I did not use the new screw-in fuel inlet seat. I cleaned the old seat and used the new needle. I recommend trying to source the old style seat. I know cores for the 4000 series are becoming rare but sometimes parts are missing and it would be nice to be able to get used ones(parts). My carb was missing the retainer bracket for the secondary fuel tubes. Also, the tech lady could not give me a good answer on how to change the secondary fuel tube O-rings and o-ring retainer washers. The washers are staked-in at the factory. If the kit furnishes new O-rings/retainer washers then there should be clear instructions about how to change them. As I said-the kit quality is great and I would buy from Mikes again!!
