Holley 4000 carburetor parts. This lists all parts that we carry for the Holley 4000 carburetor.

This is a 4 barrel carburetor sometimes referred to as a TEAPOT carburetor and at times a Firebox. The Holley carburetor got the firebox reputation because of the fires that resulted from fuel leaking outside the carburetor.

Ford used the 4000 from 1955-1957, including the police special which had dual 4000s mounted. Mercury used the 4000 carburetor in 1956 and Lincoln used the Holley 4000 from 1955-1956.

There is also the 2140 version that looks very similar to the 4000, which was used on the 1953-54 Lincoln. The Holley 4000 used a vacuum operated secondary, while the 2140 used a mechanical secondary.

Holley 4000 Identification - The carburetor number is located on the back side of the carburetor on the face of the flange. There may be multiple numbers, but the important
one is the LIST number. I.E. LIST 1161.
