Rochester 2GC 2G Marine Carburetor Kit - K4082

Rebuild kit was great but icing on the cake was the you tube tutorial videos done by Mike himself. So easy to follow any one who can work a screwdriver can rebuild their carb. Great job and thank you!

Bought a rebuild kit for my carburetor Mike's. As I was putting it back together I was watching a video of Mike online rebuilding a similar carburetor. I noticed there is a check ball and spring in the accelerator pump compartment. While I noticed the check ball was in the carb when I pulled ours apart, I realize the wrong size spring was being used in the accelerator pump return. Instead it was in the fuel filter holder spot. So what was happening was when the boat was warming up and the choke was on, it was getting enough fuel. When it warmed up in the choke opened up, the accelerator pump check ball was blown out of its hole and fuel is being pumped by the accelerator pump back into the float bowl instead of out in to the engine. That has to be what it was. I nearly missed figuring that out this time around. Thank you so much for the video Mike!

Definitely was a little nervous rebuilding this carb on my 4.3mercruiser but wow this thing was easy to rebuild and the difference this kit made after the rebuild. Didn’t have that slight hesitation from the accelerator pump and the boat pulls like no other again.

This was my first carb rebuild for a OMC 2.3 Ford Rochester 2gc. The engine had been experiencing flooding issues. This kit worked great and got my boat starting with no problems in just a few hours. (I did replace the float as well)
