TECHNICAL:

apply a couple dabs of lithium grease to the cup before installing.
run a blunt object around the inside of the leather cup to break the protective sealer it may have.
polish the pump bore with Crocus Cloth before installing pump.

Unfortunately with no ID rag and no stamping on the air horn it was very difficult identifying this Rochester 4 jet to obtain the correct kit. After finding the accelerator pump to be way too small resulting in a major hesitation off idle, the folks at Mike's worked with me to get as close as possible to the size of the original accelerator pump. The car performs much better and a big thanks to Mike's Carburetor Parts for seeing this through!

Senior technician

This was a direct replacement part that was installed in a 1962 starfire with a quadrajet carburetor. The accelerator pump was correct and worked perfectly. If your car stumbles upon acceleration because it it is starving for a squirt of petro this item will perform.
