Rochester 4G, 4GC Rubber Pump Shaft Boot - G429

This little boot works sort of okay for a Stromberg 2 barrel AAV-2 to replace the now-unobtainable original bellows boot for the accelerator pump shaft, and is the one recommended by Mike. But a better choice on this application is the G544F, which better fits the hole in the top of the float bowl cover, and which comes in the rebuild kit for many of these models. There is a fair amount of variation in these Stromberg carbs on the size of that hole, but that G544F fits in a 3/8" or 7/16" diameter hole better and works with the accelerator pump chamber. Maybe check your hole first.

This item arrived promptly, and a bowl gasket was later added to the shipment at my request, at no extra cost for shipping, just with a call to Mike's Carburetor Parts. The cost of the item and the shipping was very fair, and this appears to be the same as a pump shaft boot which I earlier received from Mike's. Unfortunately, the first one eventually dissolved with the ethanol in the gas.

Just what I needed. Works perfect. Impossible to find without buying an entire rebuild kit
