Rochester 4G 4GC Accelerator Pump Plunger Assembly AP319

I bought this knowing it was the wrong length for my car; i'll modify it, once i figure out how. Since it has variable length, providing information on both extended and short length would be helpful. Even better, it could be redesigned to allow for different lengths: the metal top section could be 3 pieces with thin top and bottom parts threaded into a fat middle part (maybe with a couple of lock nuts). A similar approach could allow for variation in the travel of the top part in the bottom part: the plastic tube would be longer, and you would cut it to length and then install a clip to retain the sliding metal part. I'll rate it 4 as it is fine for what it is & matches its description, but could have more applications if it was more adaptable.

great part , quick service. (wrong part, my own fault) I'm working on an old '57 Cadillac and thought this pump would work. (it didn't) I ended up taking the rubber seal off and installed on the old pump rod. Works like a charm. Thanks
