TECHNICAL:

Polish pump bore with Crocus cloth
Apply 2 drops of oil to pump cup before installing (do not soak)
Also knows as a 2 Jet or 2BBL
2GC has an integral choke - choke mounted on the carburetor.

Cleaning - soak parts in bucket of carburetor cleaner (see mfg specs for time), wash with hot water, blow out all passages. Run thin wire down all passages to clean out the ethanol residue. Cleaners will not remove this.
Note: Accelerator pump don't always fit tight in the well.

I was rather disappointed in this rebuild kit. Many of the washers and parts illustrated / required were not included in the kit. Examples were both check balls, the venture cluster fiber washers, other plastic washers, the check ball tee, etc. Had to reuse many parts that should have been part of any standard rebuild kit.

Used this kit to help fix a poor running medium duty GMC truck. Truck runs like brand new after the rebuild. All gaskets fit reasonably well. The check ball return spring was recieved crushed in the package but I was able to reuse the old one. Overall I am very satisfied with everything except the damaged return spring. I am sure Mike's would have replaced it but it wasn't necessary and I didn't have time.

The kit works pretty well my only complaint is the base gasket is poor quality other than that no issues

the rebuild went very well. After watching Mike's video I was able to trouble shoot the on-going problem this carb has had for years. He explained how the gas made it's way from the bowl to the accelerator pump. The passage way in mine was totally blocked and required that I drill a hole from outside the carb through the stoppage. If he had not talked about drilling and patching with JB weld, and explained the accelerator pump, I would not have tried the repair. (just need to be real careful not to drill into the seat where the ball check valve seats) End result was the truck started on the first try. All the parts fit and as advertised had some gaskets that did not apply. You know that GREAT feeling you get when you do something you've never done and it works out great. That's how it feels.
