Rochester 2G 2GV 2 Jet 2 Barrel Carburetor Rebuild Kit K4262

I was eager to rebuild the Rochester 2G in my old Jeep CJ5. The rebuild kit arrived quickly so I was able to get underway. It was complete with every part needed for a proper rebuild (gaskets, pump mechanism, etc). However what I found to be the best part to ensure a proper rebuild, was Mike's video showing all the steps to disassemble, rebuild and adjust. This carb is working like the day it was new, thanks to Mike's!

Hello, I bought a 1971 Jeep CJ5 just over a year ago. Sense then I have been trying to repair for a hesitation on acceleration worse from a dead stop. It had a remanufactured carburetor on it I verified the accelerator pump was the problem due to the lack of fuel from the carburetor when accelerating. Removing and disassembled and rebuild with all new parts. Still I had the same problem with the information tag missing. Even with two other remanufactured carburetors I still had the same problem. Rechecking my fuel pressure and installing a pressure regulator I set the fuel pressure at 5-6psi. I still order a new accelerator pump different then what I had. Still with no success trying several different kits and pumps and seals with no success I found Mikes Carburetors. With the information I got from his web sight I was able to locate the second set of numbers stamped on the carburetor bole. Vary faint but their i was able to order a kit from him. Rebuilding my carburetor with this new kit I got the accelerator pump working on a bench test. After installing the carburetor and with some readjusting the accelerator pump issue was no longer a problem. My hesitation was fixed it runs like a champ without Mikes information and parts I’m sure i would still be hunting for a fix to my problem. Thanks to Mike for the proper information and parts I can’t thank you enough how lucky I was to find his web sight.

I called to make sure I was getting the correct kit before ordering and had a pleasant experience as the lady that helped me was knowledgeable in the products they sell and was able to direct me to the correct kit with very little information. Received the kit in a timely manner and was able to get the carb rebuilt in no time. All the parts needed to rebuild the carb are included in the kit minus the float. I decided to buy from Mike's because of the excellent Utube video's he had on line. The shipping time was very good and as promised. Only two very slight problems... 1) I was working on a 2VG carb and wanted to use the thin base gasket that came with the kit because the old gasket was a thin one. The new gasket was not a perfect fit only by about 1/16 of an inch, so I probably could have used it, but the old gasket was still in fine form so I reused the old one. 2) I never figured out how to download the manual that came with the carb kit, BUT it didn't matter as the wonderful video's covered it very well. All that being said, the rebuild went well and the engine fired up and ran well. Thanks, Kevin

This is the second rebuild kit that I used. I first one from a different company was not complete. I found Mikes Carb and they had everything I needed to get my jeep running great. Also watch his videos. He show exactly how to rebuild the carb. Thank you for a great rebuild kit.

The kit comes with everything you need. Unfortunately, I had to buy two because my dog chewed up my first kit. … I give this product 5 stars.

I got tired of not having an accelerator pump in my 1968 Commando that I only use for plowing snow. Came across Mike's Carbs, had what I needed, fast service, and the Commando runs like new again. Thanks!
