Some of the 44PA1 carburetor have a smaller idle mixture screw than what is provided in the kit. These screws also have o-rings on them. Here is a solution for this from one of our customers.
Hi Mike, just to let you know, we?ve mended the existing idle screws with new seals made from silicone tubing used with model aircraft engines.

Had to trim small gasket for accelerator pump nozzle. Idle jet was too big and had to reuse most of the old sealing washers for other jets. All gaskets were good Quality as well as accelerator pump. Found the downloded carb manual and youtube video on mikes carburetor video for volvo penta solex downdraft very helpful. It was my first time rebuilding carburetors for my boat and was very pleased with the results. i would recommend this kit and watching this video for your boat.
