TECHNICAL:

apply a couple drops of oil to the cup before installing
do not soak pump
run a blunt object around the inside of the leather cup to break the protective sealer it may have
polish the pump bore with Crocus Cloth before installing pump
do not allow your pump to dry out

I’m very happy with my purchase, the pump was used on a 1934 chevy straight six fire truck for my town, it’s been very difficult to find parts for the engine and this one especially because of the flat pump arm, thank you for still stocking such an antique part! The part operates as it should.

Shipment was very quick. One of the three pumps was not assembled correct. The steel washer at the back of the leather cup was missing . This allowed the cup not to have any support. I removed the cup and used it on a original mechanism. It wasn't worth the trouble of returning it and it worked as I wanted it too.
