First time carb rebuilder

Let me start by saying that I'm a handy person, but I've never attempted a rebuild of a carburetor. Mike's made ordering the parts easy, despite the fact that any carburetor has many varieties that require different parts. With the partial identification numbers I could get off of my 65 year old piece, they were able to determine the correct rebuild kit and ship it to me. Speaking of shipping, I got a first class mail notification exactly 38 minutes after I placed the order. It arrived from the West Coast all the way to greater Atlanta in three days after I placed the order. They don't gouge on shipping prices either, they just charge what it costs to ship, which is refreshing in an age where it seems most retailers use shipping as another revenue source. The parts were very high quality, and made in the USA which is nice. Their website has a series of videos that walked me through the entire disassembly and rebuild of my carburetor, it was very easy and only took me about an hour. I can't say enough about this company, I will do business whenever I can in the future.

Mike’s Carburetor has the best customer service that I have experienced in many many years. While unpacking my carb rebuild kit I noticed the bag with the float needle & seat was not completely sealed from the factory and was missing one very small clip. I contacted Mike’s on Monday morning and without question they sent out a replacement Monday afternoon at no charge. I received the new parts Friday and completed the rebuild. I also emailed a technical question and received an accurate response the same day! Thank you Mike for your excellent customer service. It is so reassuring that not everyone on the internet has forgotten the importance of this attribute in a successful business.

Finished the rebuild on the glass bowl 1904. I noticed the cork type bowl gasket is made from a different material compared to previous ones, so far it's working fine. Great kits.
