There is more than one power piston used on the Rochester 2G nd 4G carbs, please compare the dimensions provided to insure you are ordering the correct one.

Power piston assembly. This should move up and down freely. Rochester OE 7006011, 7009718 . See #33 in the illustration below.

The power piston is used to add additional fuel when in power mode. At idle and low speeds your engine vacuum is at it's highest. This pulls the piston up and off of the power jet. When powering up your vacuum becomes less allowing the piston to fall down, opening up the power jet allowing extra fuel into the bore.

SPECS:

You may find a slight varation in length, which is fine. We've seen 2.30-2.37 overall length, this replacement piston will work just fine as long as the diameter matches the existing.

Clean out the hole, using silicon spray lubricant.
Insert the piston.
Stake the hole to keep the piston from coming out.
Make sure your power jets has a straight pin. Replace if bent.

The part had an improved, wider base than my original Power Piston Asm, to make more positive contact with the Power Valve. It arrived on schedule and it fit well. No problems.
