Holley 1920 Flange Gasket G847

Received the 1920 H1 gasket in good time. There are two gaskets that can be used here. We received the thin one with the reconditioned 1920 H1 carburetor and it just wasn't thick enough for the throttle linkages to clear the intake manifold. The result was that the throttle was stuck in an open position. I was getting 30 mph in second gear without my foot on the pedal in the test drive.. LOL Hard to stop. (This is in a 1973 D 100 3 in the tree ya'll). Threw it in neutral and carried on that way until I got home and saw the problem. Ordered this new thicker gasket to solve the clearance problem. Works fine. Easy install. I'm a 57 year old lady. If I can do it, anybody can.

I can tell when someone with less than optimum skills has NOT used this steel sleeved gasket: the carburetor flange is warped or cracked from overtightening.
