Holley 1940, 1945, 1946 Brass Float FL48

I had rebuilt my carburetor previously, but did not install a new float. The car still sputtered and hesitated from starts. Once the new float was installed, no hesitations, no stalls. I don't have to send the carb in for a professional rebuild!

The old float in my D150 was swollen and sticking to the sides of the fuel bowl. The truck would randomly die and couldn’t maintain highway speed. This float dropped right in, adjusted easily, and fixed my fuel delivery issues. Thanks for making this product available!

This is a excellent product. It replaces the nitro floats witch brass that over the years the nitro fill float have been swelling probably from the ethanol base fuels. .

I bought this to cure what I assume was a sunken float from the OE plastic type. I was getting fuel seeping out around the top cover gasket after shut down. This float should be more reliable long term, although It may need a slightly lower initial setting, as the carb is still seeping a little after shutdown.

Got new float for my holley model 1940. Works great. Is what should have been in carb in the first place. The black plastic original had swollen, scraping side of bowl, preventing needle valve from feeding enough gas upon heavy acceleration. Had to tweek one float ever so slightly so both were even, and adjust needle tab, which both I would consider normal setup. Thanks to mike for even having this thing!

I have high hopes for this carburetor float of brass. The old plastic one swelled and stuck, causing issues and the car would not stay started, and in some cases die unexpectedly. The first time it did this I was on a freeway in rush hour, headed up a little hill, with a full load in the bed. Somehow managed to get out of traffic flow, barely, Basically a sucky situation. A 65 Ranchero is a simple vehicle and this quality part has made it simpler. Best $12 fix ever! It fit a motorcraft carb, which is made by Holley. Whew! So glad to have it.

The part was solved my problem. I've got a '65 Ford f-350, 1-ton.the truck is old but runs like a champ.
