The 11-Series (11ADX12 and 11ADX12RK) carburetors are of the dual horizontal type with double idle discharge holes, idle compensator jets, idle air bleeds, main venturi, secondary venturi, main metering jets, high speed air bleeds and main discharge jets. The power system consists of a power jet valve,
piston and a vacuum channel which leads to the intake manifold. The accelerating system consists of a pump cylinder, a flexible type piston, a double acting check valve, two air vent check valves, two accelerating channel check valves and two accelerating jets. Both the power system and the accelerating system are controlled by engine vacuum. The choke system is of the semi-automatic type with a spring loaded poppet in the choke plate. Some models of the 11 series carburetor are equipped for use with a speed type governor.
The 11 series carburetors are of the sealed or balanced type since all air for idle and high speed operation for bowl ventilation must pass through the air cleaner.
