Who knew? Mike's knew that's who!

great technical info that those black plastic floats are not to be trusted at least that was my take away. For my application, the vehicle could sit for months without action and then be called to duty for a very fun family adventure. Having the peace of mind that the float is brass and of such quality makes me happy. Thanks Mike's.

Car owner

My carburetor floods out the engine. I bought the brass float more as a precaution. I didn’t think my old float was the problem but why not upgrade while I had the carburetor apart. I also bought Mike’s carburetor kit. The carburetor still floods. Fuel is coming out from under the screw that holds the venturi cluster. And that screw has the correct gasket under the head so who knows why fuel is leaking into the venturi from that area. I’ve had the carburetor apart four times chasing this problem. Even though I have over fifty years working with old cars I gave up in frustration and ordered a rebuilt carburetor. I’ll eat the core charge and keep this old carburetor. At some point I’ll transfer Mike’s brass float into the new carburetor. I found Mike’s YouTube videos to be very helpful and took his advice to change out the float for his brass float. I’m thinking about ordering his electric choke after I get this car running again. The car is a 1965 Ford Falcon Futura convertible which has been in the family since 1970.

2100 float

Good quality upgrade from plastic type float and cheap insurance against a potential problem. It's always the little things that get you so the quality, price, and ease of installation makes this upgrade a "must do".

Perfect

I used this float to replace the cheapo plastic float in my Motorcraft 2100. It fit perfectly, and I have noticed way smoother carburetion over bumps and rough roads in my 1968 Ford F 250

MC 2100

I installed my new Brass float along with all the other replacement parts I ordered in an attempt to resurrect my MC 2100 2BRL. I found an unnoticed fuel leak from the throttle shaft bushings areas. So, my SAGA continues to bring this Frankenstein back to life no matter what I need to do. I have another 2100 body which I will swap out all of my new parts into that one and see if I get any better results. Thanks for the follow up and I appreciate your quick and fine service. This fight is not over!
