Seat: The seat is a component that provides an opening through which fuel enters the float bowl. It’s like a doorway for the fuel.
Needle: The needle is a valve that can open or close the opening (seat). It’s like a gatekeeper that allows or stops fuel from entering.
When the engine is running, it uses fuel from the float bowl. As fuel is used, the fuel level in the bowl goes down, and the float (a device that floats on top of the fuel) goes down with it. When the float goes down, it pulls the needle valve away from the seat, opening it up and allowing more fuel to flow into the bowl.
