Holley 1 Barrel Carburetor Float Spring 66-75

These work, but have to be modified. The original spring had a piece sticking up that went into the float. The spring can be bent to work. This website talks about the importance of accuracy when buying a kit, but their springs are not accurate. But as i said it can be made to work. Should be noted in the sales section though.

Yeah had no idea where this went, the original had fallen out during disassembly and I hadn't seen where from. Also, the tip not having the little stinger sticking up didn't help. The drawing showing this should have been included in the pack. But overall a nice part, but I'm keeping it for the next one.

This spring has been working fine in my Holly for the past year. I bent a 4 mm tip upward and curled it inwards to center it. I had also installed a newer float from EBAY that weighs 12.6 g. Previous float was around 10.7 g after a LONG dry out. Turning off my hot engine does cause some gas to bubble and flood through the jet making a harder restart. I have lowered my float about 3\16 inch at shutoff and have not had flooding since. That newer float still weighed about 12.6 g after one year of use. Runs great and I expect much cleaner spark plugs.

This is a very good spring and works perfectly for carburetors where the spring is missing.
