Electric Choke Conversion Kit - CU1110A

Easy install on my 1979 F250 351M 2 barrel. Great replacement over the hot air choke.

My carb didn't have a slot for the spring to fit in. The original spring had a loop that went around the metal arm. I cut one in the arm with a die grinder. The choke cover didn't clamp down tightly, the shoulder was not as thick as the original cover, so I had to use an extra gasket to shim it up. After all that, the choke works good.

Installed this on my ford 360 to replace a busted manual choke. The setup was easy and straightforward. Works as expected, choke stays closed and opens up as the motor warms up. Shipping was really quick as well! Thanks Mike!

After wrong parts from two National parts houses, I contacted Mikes, describing my 4100 4 bbl Autolite and was told my choke had a center spring and needed a different kit. Easy to install and works great. Thanks to Mikes!

OMG! I'd give it more than 5 stars if could! Installed this kit on my '65 GT 289 Mustang (original 4 barrel Autolite) to replace an electric Holley choke, as the original "stove pipe" heat choke was removed due to the addition of Pacemaker headers. The Holley was used beacuse at the time, there wasn't an alternative here in Aus. It "worked", but because didn't open in response to the motor temp, it was a bit hit and miss depending on the weather, and the performace lousy at times.This new Electric Choke Conversion Kit (with the rheostat ) has absolutely transformed my car back to how it was supposed to perform with the original stove pipe set up - as per factory! Installation (by myself) was dead easy, as per the instructions supplied, (and You Tube tutorial), using a screw driver and socket set.(and one wiring loop connector (not provided in the kit as it depends where you want to source the switched 12 V from). I used the "STA" post on my standard alternator to connect the "12V source", and used the bolt closest to the thermostat to connect the rheostat, after sanding the area around the bolt to have a good ground contact (as per the instructions). I cannot recommend highly enough this upgrade for any application that requires OEM carb performance, and it appears that it's only available from Mike's Carburetor Parts. It is ridiculous value for money, and the transaction and delivery time to Down Under was unbelievably smooth. I definately recommend Mike's Carb Parts, and this kit. You WILL NOT be disappointed! great upgrade from the original choke

I've bought 3 now. All for 4100 carbs and all for thunderbirds ranging from 55 to 60. I'm just happy anyone still sells parts for this model carb and that the items work. The electric choke conversion is a walk in the park to install. A person can make the factory way work to warm up a spring, but the electric conversion is just faster to open the choke plate and just makes sense. I'm sure I will buy more as the need happens.
