Used this as part of a rebuild. Seemed to fit, but carb flooded after I reassembled. Took back apart, followed suggestions on Mike's very helpful video, and put old float back in. Problem solved. Never determined if float was culprit, passed the hot water test.

Jeep carb float

Shipping was super fast and the float worked great. Solved my flooding problem and now the cj idles and runs like new. Couldn't be happier and the price was right. Thanks!

Retired-Restoring 79 Jeep

I called and went to all the auto parts stores in Cincinnati and no one could fine a float for my 79 jeep carb. I got on line and found Mike's Carburetor ,they had what everyone else said was not available any more, it came 2 days later, I rebuilt my carb and the old jeep runs like it's brand new.
