63 falcon Autolite 1100

I used this plug in a rebuild. The Autolite 1100's power valve was sticking and I wanted to make sure all corrosion and debris was cleaned out. I had to drill and pop out the old plug in order to do so. No one else sells a kit with this plug but I was able to purchase it here. It worked out great and fit just like it was supposed to. Great parts!!!

Exactly what I needed

Fixed our frozen power control valve. Once we popped the old plug out, we could see the varnish that was missed by the carb dip that could not penetrate where it was needed. This plug let us clean and restore the valve.

nice part

It's great to have access to these plugs. They are not in any way an interference fit--they just sit in the orifice. I guess this explains why some rebuilt carburetors have epoxy caps over the power-valve cleanout.

Parts worked great! Service was also very good. First time customer, but wont be my last, as I also have a older Mustang next to work on. Also Mike's video's were very helpful.

Aluminum Expansion Plugs

Plugs were a little small. After tapping them with a hammer, they expanded just enough to keep the plug from falling out, but not as snug as I would have liked. However, couldn't find them anywhere else, and they got the job done.

Aluminum Expansion plugs

To be honest Mike. They were way to small, even tapping them to expand the plug didn't help. So I had to *seal* the plug so it didn't fall out. It is possible that's how they are. I was expecting something more like a freeze plug that tapped in solid. But not a big deal once the seal dried.

Mostly satisfied!

I was more than satisfied with the product and overall quality and functionality of the plug it was the correct size and worked just like it should ! My only issue is that I onload to rebuild 1 carburetor and a carburetor rebuild is not something that I do a lot of it would have been nice to be able to order these in a smaller quantity!
