Purpose: The purpose of the EFE heater is to aid with vaporization of fuel in cold conditions and reduce exhaust emissions by running a few minutes to allow for leaner choke calibration.

Location: EFE Heater is located between the throttle body of the carburetor and the intake manifold

Symptoms of failure: poor driveability and fuel economy and/or failure to turn off after reaching operating temperature.

Recommended service: replace when gasket becomes non-functional
