Your original unit maybe all plastic, the replacement is a plastic body unit with steel bracket clamped on.

My 65 corsa had 1 of these fail. Mike's had it in stock and got it to me within 3 days. Product quality is very good and fit was like factory. This is the 2nd time I have purchased parts from Mike's and I now will use them for all my carb needs

Worthwhile Investment 64 Corvair

Original Corvair pull-offs were a single plastic molding that included the base. These were adequate but sometimes cracked, both at the base and at the back of the vacuum module from stress. Or they could last decades. These seem a TAD pricey, but once purchased are superior, AND if the vacuum module goes bad it can be replaced with a new plastic part for only around $9.00 USD. This part is a very worthwhile investment if you need a replacement choke pull-off. Fits perfectly.
