Carter AVS, 4 barrel electric choke conversion kit.

Converts your hot air choke to electric. Does not convert manual chokes. Mounts to the manifold where the original divorced choke bolted on.

SPECS:

Looking at coil = rotates clockwise when heated (choke opens / lean)
Choke shaft = rotates counter-clockwise when heated (choke opens/lean)
Choke shaft = rotates clockwise to close (choke closes/rich)

Mopar 1968 383"

Due to technical reasons, electric choke kits are matched using the engine application. It is assumed that the carburetor, intake manifold and engine are original to the vehicle.

Examples of miss match:

Carburetor has been switched out.

The carburetor has been re-manufactured.

A performance intake manifold has been installed. This is OK if the manifold is a direct replacement.

Spacers have been added to the carburetor base - Divorced chokes only.

Cold Climate Mopar

Just had this installed an a 1969 383 and so far is opening and closing perfectly, engine starts and idles with 2 pumps and choke opens.This has been a pain for sometime trying to warm engine up, I hope it keeps working so well. Thanks so much, Frank

Needed a choke assembly for an old AVS carb I was rebuilding and ordered it. It was a retrofit application to be installed on a 440. Once installed and adjusted, worked great. Thx

Choke assy 68 Dodge Dart GTS

Hi. Received choke assy. in good condition, installed it, but have had problems adjusting the carburetor linkage, at idle???? and so forth. I think I have it corrected now. Thanks
