Carter YFA 1 Barrel Carburetor Kit AMC/Jeep 84-88, Ford 81-86 4317

I recieved my kit a couple weeks ago. It contained everything i needed, all the proper parts and gaskets with instuctions. I havent been doing a lot of carb rebuilds for 30 years or so so the video was a great refresher and I learned a few things along the way. Thanks

I recieved the kit in a timely manner and I was impressed by the video Mike did online for the yfa rebuild. I took my carberatur apart on Friday evening and rebuilt it the same night in about 3 hours. I took my time with it. Went back out and put it on my ford six cylinder, primed it with some carb cleaner and it started up. It is now running better than before and I'm hoping for an improvement in gas mileage.

The carb kit was high quality and had all the necessary pieces to rebuild the old carter carburetor.

First time rebuilding a carb. All the parts I needed were included, splurged on the float and spring too. Got my kit in about 4 days. I watched the youtube vids and disassembled the carb in no time. Take lots of pics of your linkages if you don't want to scratch your head later! Dipped the carb for 24 hours, brushed the old gasket residue off, blasted with gumout, and reassembled per the video. Tuned with a vacuum gauge and my 1985 F-150 is purring like new, thanks Mike's!

I bought a carburetor rebuild kit for a Carter YFA single barrel, and it was supposed to come with a manual, said check email. The kit was great containd everything I needed, and my carburator works great. I was just confused on the manual, never really saw an email specifically for the manual. I ended finding a spec sheet online that was helpful other than that,no complaints, great kit! I'd recommend it for sure.

a friends 86 f150 I6 single barrel carb.......great kit, quality parts, fast shipping and the kit is around 30 dollars VS a 300 dollar carb.... 3 hour rebuild time from the time i started taking it apart to back on the truck running. great videos to help you out if you need. just make sure you look up your carb right and get the correct kit, there are videos to help identify your carb also. clean everything very well and yours should run like new.

Just order it. YES you can do it. Take your time get organized clean work environment and a chair to get comfortable. Rebuilt a Feedback YFA on a 84 F150. Runs Sweet! Tried two Chinese carbs from Ebay before rebuild. BOTH Chinese carbs failed QUICKLY. Learn from my experience, buy this kit with the new float and choke RIGHT NOW. High quality kit and use Mikes You Tube videos. Pine Sol soak worked great for me. BTW I removed all the original TFI ignition and emissions . Used a HEI distributor ( Chinese ,so far so good) one wire to power (other option is going Duraspark) BTW on feedback carb I just blocked off with a plate the huge sensor on side of carb and removed throttle position sensor. worked for me. Kit was a perfect fit. Truck is running fine. If I need carburetor parts I will certainly use Mike’s Carburetor’s again.
