TECHNICAL:

Polish the pump well so that the pump cup glides smoothly.
Too much pressure on the needle will damage the viton tip.
Soak in carburetor cleaner (any parts store) and follow directions, or you could damage the carburetor metal.
Wash off all chemical with hot water, blow out with compressed air, run thin wire down all small passages. Ethanol leaves residue that cleaners cannot get out.
