Motorcraft 2100, 2150, 4100 carburetor choke thermostat assembly. US made. Millions tested. Made to OE specifications.

Included is a picture of the 2100 choke housing you should have for this to work. There is also a version of choke housing that doesn't use a choke piston. That will work also. The one application that doesn't work is the version that has a spring attached to the inside of the choke housing. The center post where the spring attaches sticks out too far not allowing the thermostat to mount.
New, currently being produced.

  • Choke shaft = rotates clockwise to close (choke closes / rich)

The piston is necessary to pull off the choke when starting up cold. Run your hot wire to the alternator stator connecton. You only want the 12v while the engine is running.

Electric Choke
Choke works good on my 2100 carb. 66 mustang. Only I had use an extra gasket to make it clear the choke spring turn mechanism on the carb housing.

Motorcraft 2100 Electric Choke
I purchased this electric choke thermostat for my classic truck with a 1970 Mustang 302 engine. I installed it in less than half an hour. I ran a hot wire from my alternator stator connection to the choke and it works perfectly.no more hestitation after startup until the engine warms up, I now start the engine and drive off normally.

retired bus repairman
I use this set up, because I wanted headers and I didn't want to burn the chrome on the headers installing the heat exhaust tubes. As for the unit used, easy installation but had to use the old gasket. the new one would not fit. too small id. Works fine after a little adjustment. Thanks Mike
