AS 1 Barrel
CARTER AS CARBURETOR PARTS
The Carter AS is a single bore downdraft carburetor which incorporates two light weight aluminum castings. Readily accessible adjustments and the combined body flange casting make it easy to service. All fuel and vacuum passages are confined to the two castings; calibration points are easy to check and clean in service. All major gasket surfaces are above the fuel level to minimize fuel leakage. A two stage high speed metering control is used to produce instantaneous response to engine demands. One is mechanically controlled and the other is actuated by manifold vacuum.
AVS 4 Barrel
Carter AVS (Air Valve Secondary) 4 barrel carburetor parts. The AVS carburetor can be mistaken for an AFB. Some of the differences to look for are: AVS's spring load air valve on the top of the secondary air horn. No booster venturies. The AVS carburetors were used on 1968-71 Chrysler products.

The W-1 was used on: Chevrolet from 1932-1952 The 569S W-1 replacement carburetor was used from 1932-48 Several military vehicles used the W-1 carburetor from 1940-1948. Federal Truck used the W-1 from 1933 to 1934. The Graham-Paige used the W-1 in 1940 on the 107 & 108 Hudson 1935-1936 Hupmobile from 1933 to 1936 Oldsmobile from 1936 to 1938 Packard 1937-39 Pontiac 1933 to 1942 Reo in 19367 Studebaker in 1935 to 1937 Terraplane from 1932 to 1933.

WCFB 4 Barrel
The WCFB was manufactured by the Carter Carburetor Company starting in 1952 and was used on the Buick Roadmaster and the M-70 models straight 8 engine, carburetor number 894S. Buick used the WCFB until 1956 when it was replaced by the Rochester 4GC and the Carter AFB.
Cadillac also used the WCFB on some of their vehicles from 1952 to 1957.
Chevrolet used the Carter WCFB starting in 1955 and used them on some model clear up to 1965. The Chevrolet WCFB has a bigger footprint than the earlier WCFBs and are highly sought after by the classic car enthusiast. Some of these carburetor numbers are: 2022s and 2004s. The WCFB was used on the Corvettes between 1955 and 1965.
Chrysler used the WCFB in 1955 to 1958 when they switch to the Carter AFB, 4 barrel.
Desoto used the Carter WCFB from 1955 to 1957. 1956-57 the WCFB was used on the Desoto dual four barrel carburetor setup.
Diamond T truck used the WCFB on some vehicles from 1955 to 1962, carburetor number 2022s.
Dodge used the WCFB from 1954 to 1958.
