Motorcraft 2100 Carburetor Description
The Ford car 2 barrel carburetors for the different engines are of the same basic design, except for venturi size, calibration, choke linkage and various internal detail changes to suit the function of the engines.

The carburetors have two main assemblies, the air horn and the main body.

The air horn assembly, which serves as the main body cover, contains the choke plate and the vents for the fuel bowl.

The throttle plate, the accelerating pump assembly, the power valve assembly, and the fuel bowl are in the main body. The automatic choke housing is attached to the main body.

The two barrels each contain a main and booster venturi, main fuel discharge, accelerating pump discharge, idle fuel discharge and a throttle plate.

We carry three different kits for the 2100 type of carburetor. This is the most popular of the three. The other kits fit the Jeep and American Motors applications and by looking at the pictures you will see the flange gasket is different.

last week rebuilt the 2100	December 13, 2011

Cleaned everything up rebuilt seems to purr pretty good haven't drove far enough to check new mileage. Went from 52 to 50 jets looking for mileage, 1969 ford galaxy XL. 390 big block 2 bbl. single exhaust.

Had previously ordered a kit from Autozone w crummy float needle housing that tightened w a screw driver (which chipped when tightened) and wouldn't seal. Installed & removed over and over but couldn't get it to seal completely. Threw it out and am quite pleased w Mike's! Autozone gaskets were slightly different than originals but Mike's are perfect!
