Great product and awesome support
I bought this rebuild kit for my 1998 Bayliner carb. The kit included everything I needed to do a professional rebuild on the carb. I went to a local marine store and asked for a rebuild kit prior to buying this. They told me that i would have to buy all of the parts separately for almost $250. I told them, I could get a rebuilt card for that price... Just crazy.. So I found this kit on Mike's carbs. I watched Mike's video on the rebuild and felt confident I could do this. It arrived very fast and I went to work on the rebuild. In the middle of the rebuild, I found that my carb did not have the ball and screen in the accelerator pump shaft and i had watched the wrong video. I called Mike's carbs and I was told there were several variations and that they would get back to me shortly. within 15 minutes Mike emailed me and cleared it all up. I finished the rebuild taking my time. It took about an hour but that included cleaning some of the old gasket off the carb. I took the boat out last weekend and adjusted the air fuel and idle. Worked great! I was having issues with the motor bogging at around 3k rpm and loss of power above. It's still bogging a little but I have full power over 3k. I am guessing that it needs adjusted again since this was the last piece of the fuel system that hadn't been rebuilt/replaced. i will be taking it out again this weekend and I think I need to give it a bit more fuel on the air/fuel mixture. All in all, a great product and amazing service. I highly recommend that you try to rebuild your carb yourself if you are even somewhat mechanically inclined. It will save you a lot of money and Mike's carbs can help if you get stuck. Thanks Mike!

I am amazed at how easy I found it to rebuild my MerCarb with the kit from Mike's Carbs. The boat had been flooding BAD after shutdown, and was lacking power when running wide open, but since the rebuild it's running better than I ever remember and no flooding issues anymore. The carb had been rebuilt recently (within last 2 years) but the ethanol seemed to have taken its toll and the accelerator pump had a tear in the rubber so it was time for another teardown.

Mercarb kit
Install was flawless, thanks to videos. Just one note: I chose to send via FedEx to my business address so I could use FedEx Insight to track the shipment (does not work due to post office taking over delivery). Just note to customers that it will be passed off to the Post Office for final delivery. The Engine runs great now.
