Good kit, slight flaws
This kit was good overall, and I was able to get my carburetor rebuilt, back on the car and functioning properly. But there were a few slight shortcomings... I'm not sure if my particular 1100 is slightly different than what this kit was designed for, but I went by "good for all 1100 carburetors."
The most disappointing thing was that the kit did not include two retaining clips that I'd imagine something like this should certainly have. I don't have the instructions in front of me but one of them is designated as part #1 in the instructions. There were two of these... fortunately the second one, which is fairly required, I kept and reinstalled the old one. The one that's designated #1 though I couldn't find, and had to figure something out on my own to secure that linkage.
I received a spark control valve that I was not able to use. The gasket provided was a larger diameter than my old one and my opening, and while the valve itself did fit the opening, it would not screw in far enough to tighten against the gasket. So I reinstalled the old parts.
I had a similar problem with the idle mixture screw. I didn't measure it to compare with my old one, but it just didn't look quite right. But I put it in anyway. When I went to tune the carb, even with the screw seated all the way, the car didn't even change RPM. That should have made it quit. So I used the new spring and reinstalled the old screw, and it worked as it should.
All the other various parts of the kit worked out just fine.
